Also called: TV guide, Electronic Programme Guide.
An EPG lists programmes by channel and time, usually as a grid you can scroll through. Selecting a programme shows its title, description and start time, and on channels with catch-up you can often jump back to a show that has already aired.
IPTV services publish guide data for their channels, and the player app downloads it in the background. Many apps use the XMLTV format for this, either loaded automatically with an Xtream Codes login or added separately as an EPG URL next to an M3U playlist.
If the guide shows the wrong times, the cause is almost always the time-zone or time-shift setting in the player app rather than the guide data itself.
How does EPG apply to FORTTV4K?
FORTTV4K includes a full TV guide (EPG) on every plan; it loads automatically in apps that support Xtream Codes logins.
Common questions about EPG
Why is my EPG empty?
The guide often takes a few minutes to download after the first login. If it stays empty, refresh the EPG in the app settings, or check that an EPG URL has been added when you use an M3U playlist.
Does the EPG show my local time?
Guide data carries time-zone information and player apps convert it to the time on your device. If programme times are off, change the time-zone or time-shift option in the app.
